5.05 once upon a time

An encounter with an ion storm forces the Delta Flyer to land abruptly on a planet and plunge a few kilometres beneath its surface; almost undetectable, and with life support running out and means of escape limited, they (Paris, Tuvok, and Samantha Wildman) have to wait and hope that Voyager can find them. Meanwhile, six year old Naomi Wildman is being distracted with holographic games and protected by godfather Neelix, whose own family died in a war. He is the one who needs protecting; she craves the truth and can handle it better. When she walks onto the bridge and sees that something is wrong, Naomi is angry at Neelix, and she hides behind her imaginary holodeck characters Floter and Trevis. Somehow, Voyager manages to get to the away team and beam them up just in front of another ion storm (nice sfx) and the ending is happy.

A nice episode; I like the holodeck story. Funniest scene; when Naomi Wildman acts as if she has been assimilated by Seven.
